About Us

St John's Chatham first opened in 1821 but the building was closed back in the 1990s. The Diocese of Rochester and Church of England are committed to re-establishing the worshipping and missional life of St John's Chatham alongside redeveloping the building as a centre for worship, mission for the local community.

We reopened for worship at Easter 2021 and spent the first few months learning to inhabit the building. In September we celebrated 200 years since the building was first opened, and started Alpha as well as St John's Kids on Sundays. We currently meet in the building on Sunday Mornings at 10:30am as well as meeting at other points during the week. Check out our website www.stjohnschatham.co.uk for all the latest information.

You would be very welcome to join us on a Sunday or at one of our midweek gatherings. Please do get in touch if you'd like to find out more about St John's Chatham.
