The Parish Pantry at St Edmund’s Church, Felixstowe, is a community-led initiative dedicated to reducing food waste and supporting local people with free, good-quality food. Working in partnership with local retailers including Morrisons, Marks & Spencer, Lidl, Sainsbury’s and The Bread Basket, the pantry redistributes surplus food that would otherwise go to landfill.

Open every Wednesday and Friday from 10am, and Sundays from 9am, the pantry welcomes everyone in the community. A 24/7 Perishable Food Hut also provides access to fresh food outside opening hours, ensuring help is available whenever it’s needed.

More than just a food project, the Parish Pantry is a place where people can connect, receive support, and feel part of their local community. Based at St Edmund’s Church, the initiative reflects the church’s commitment to serving Felixstowe with compassion, dignity and practical care.

Our mission is simple: more tummies filled, less food wasted, and a stronger community for everyone.

Welcome to St Edmund’s Church

A Place of Faith, Friendship and Community

Nestled in the heart of our community, St Edmund’s Church is a welcoming and inclusive church where everyone is invited to belong.

As part of the Parish of Felixstowe, alongside St John’s Church, St Edmund’s has a unique role as our mission church—a place where faith meets everyday life, where friendships are formed, and where God’s love is shared through worship, service and hospitality.

Open to God. Open to All.

Whoever you are, and wherever you are on your journey, you’ll receive a warm welcome at St Edmund’s.

Whether you’re joining us for worship, visiting our Parish Pantry, seeking a quiet place to pray, or simply curious about church, our doors and our hearts are open.

Worship Together

At the centre of our life is worship.

Join us for our welcoming Holy Communion every Thursday at 10:30am, alongside other services, seasonal celebrations and community events throughout the year.

We worship with joy, pray with hope, and seek to grow together in faith.

Serving Our Community

St Edmund’s is more than a church building—it’s a place where people come together to support one another.

Our Parish Pantry provides practical help and a friendly face, reflecting our commitment to serving our neighbours with compassion and dignity.

We believe church should be at the heart of the community, offering hope, friendship and a place where everyone is valued.

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives.” — Jesus Christ (John 14:27)

We’d Love to Meet You

Whether you’re searching for faith, looking for friendship, in need of support, or simply seeking a peaceful place to pause, you’ll find a warm welcome at St Edmund’s Church.

Come as you are. There’s a place for you here.
