Lent Courses in Kesgrave and the Fynn Valley

This year in our churches we have two opportunities to grow closer to God during Lent.

The first is my daily Lent Blog which this year is called ‘Beauty of His Face - 40 Days with Vicky Beaching’. This will look at one of Vicky’s songs every day in the light of the Scripture she uses to compose them. Each one includes a Bible passage, the lyrics of a song, a short reflection, a prayer and a small daily act to focus readers on Christ.

To receive these people can either send an email to me and I will add them to a mailing list or sign up to my blog . Here is a link to a previous series on the music of Amy Grant to give an idea of what will be sent to subscribers.

The second Lent event is ‘A Beautiful Friendship’ a weekly study (about an hour long) based on the movie Casablanca.

A BEAUTIFUL FRIENDSHIP

‘Of all the Lent courses in all the world, you walked into this one…’

This Lent, join us for A Beautiful Friendship, a popular and engaging Lent course inspired by the classic film Casablanca. Using short clips from the film, the course explores themes of faith, love, sacrifice, redemption, and hope, helping to make biblical and spiritual ideas accessible, thoughtful, and relevant to everyday life.

Written by Paul Kerensa and Zoe Young, and published by Darton, Longman & Todd, A Beautiful Friendship is widely used across the Church of England and beyond. It includes reflections, discussion starters, and prayers.

Monday Evenings on Zoom

Each session lasts about an hour.
