As a Parish within the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich we take our Safeguarding responsibilities very seriously and are committed to implementing the House of Bishops safeguarding policies and good practice guidance.

We have a dedicated safeguarding team for the Benefice which, with the Rector, holds the overall responsibility for safeguarding.

All of our leaders and children's work volunteers go through a process of safer recruitment which includes a DBS screening and regular updates to their safeguarding training in line with the national safeguarding training.

Safeguarding lead for Brettenham is: Lynne Golding  07711 433420

All and any safeguarding matters can also be raised with the Diocesan Safeguarding Officer, Karen Galloway on 07785 621319 or via:
