We are delighted to announce that our churches are currently open for public worship.
The service times are
Tuesday 12noon - All Saints; Thursday 12noon - St Nicholas; Sunday 10am - All Saints; Sunday 11am - St Nicholas
We have planned everything to make our churches a safe environment and people will be seated two meters apart from each other, unless you are in a family group where you may sit together. Please arrive early for our services so that we can get you seated. We suggest that you arrive from 9.30am at All Saints and from 10.40am at St Nicholas on Sundays. Seats will be allocated on a first come first served basis and we ask that you wear a mask, if it is possible for you to do so. If you have any COVID-19 symptoms please stay at home to keep others safe.
The services will be shorter than usual as we are not able to sing at this time. We will be able to share communion together – just the bread at the moment, and that will be a great joy.
Whilst it is wonderful to see those of you who feel able to join us physically, if this is difficult for you we will still have an online presence with a live-streamed service at 12noon on Wednesdays and Fridays and night prayer recorded and uploaded for 9pm Monday-Friday. These can all be found on our Facebook pages (links to both are below).
All Saints will be open for private prayer on Tuesdays and Thursdays 10am-12.30pm.
The Parish of Poplar is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of London’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
