About Us

Visit our website www.stpetersbse.uk for more information

St Peter’s is an evangelical Anglican church located in Hospital Road, Bury St Edmunds. We are a part of the Parish of St Mary with St Peter but St Peter’s has a unique identity as a district church within the Parish.

On Sunday mornings we have a service at 10.30am (Communion 2nd and 4th Sundays; Morning Worship 3rd and 5th Sundays)

Every first Sunday we hold an all age service with a mix of traditional, contemporary music, activities for children, puppets and drama.

We are situated next to our parish community centre, which is used both by us and many community groups. We seek to reach out to all sections of the community with activities through the week including Little Fishes (Parent and toddler group) "Lunch and Chat" and 'Tea and Chat' (for seniors).

Access by car is via Petticoat Lane and Hospital Road and we have a large car park next to the church (see map),

We would be delighted to welcome you to St Peter's.

Our Vision

To grow a genuinely all age, gospel centred church family in the St Peter’s district

Our Mission

We are seeking to achieve this vision by concentrating on four G’s:

Gathering

Greeting

Growing

Going.

What we believe

Underpinning our church life are three classic evangelical convictions:

•          Bible: the belief that the Bible is the word of God and is God’s means of speaking to every generation.

•          The cross: the belief that relationship between God and man is restored through faith in the sin atoning death of our Lord Jesus on the cross in our place, and by responding to this grace and mercy with love, deeds and holy living.

•          Mission: the belief that as saved children of God we will naturally be motivated to join in God’s mission of bringing glory to himself, through our words and deeds.
