Bedfield is one of the churches of the Four Rivers Benefice, with Brundish, Cratfield, Laxfield, Monk Soham, Wilby and Worlingworth cum Southolt. We hold short weekly services online on Zoom. For all scheduled services and events, please see our news and notices and one off events pages.
St Nicholas is a medieval church over 900 years old which has undergone extensive restoration work over the last 20 years.
There are usually three Sunday services each month with additional services during Lent and Easter starting with Ash Wednesday. Lammas, Rogation, Harvest, Advent carols by candlelight and our patronal festival, together with a pet service, are just some of the services offered during the year.
"The parish of St Nicholas, Bedfield is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of St Edmundsbury & Ipswich’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."
