St Nicholas is a Grade 1 medieval church approximately 950 years old. We are open 24 hours a day ,365 days a year for private prayer. We currently have two Sunday services per month. One of Holy Communion and one of Morning Praise. These are generally at 10.30. There is an occasional additional Benefice service and also weekday Morning prayer. We are a welcoming inclusive church .

Celtic Evening Prayer on Zoom

Every Wednesday at for 1 hour

A short service of Evening Prayer, normally using liturgy from the Northumbria Community. This service takes place on Zoom. This is sometimes followed by a reflection on a bible passage.

Holy Communion

Plough Sunday

A service to mark Plough Sunday with the blessing of the plough.

Please bring any garden tools you would like blessed.

Refreshments will be served from 10.10am and after the service.

This service will be followed by a soup and bread lunch. Some parts of the service will be held outside so please dress appropriately.
