Ahoy there! Stow away with us over the seven seas to the land of Cherry Blossoms. Sing sea shanties, rock to Handel's Water Music, and learn the traditional music of Japan. There will be tea aplenty, Old Castles by Moonlight, and Sakura to rejuvenate the soul as we voyage beyond the horizon.
Doors open 15 minutes before the concert starts
The concert lasts around 45 minutes
Time to chat, to puzzle or play a game … or do some mindful colouring.
Or just enjoy the peace of the Minster with a coffee or tea.

Led by acclaimed choral collective SANSARA and featuring a performance by award winning soprano Ruby Hughes. Join us to experience heartfelt choral music by composers including Caroline Shaw and Thomas Tallis.
This special evening of solidarity and song will feature a performance by Reading’s Ukrainian choir, Kryla, who will also join forces with SANSARA for a performance of Natalia Tsupryk’s A Quiet Night – Tyhoyi Nochi.
Come and Sing! If you would like to join in solidarity and song on the night, then do sign up when booking your tickets.
We will also hear from representatives from the Refugee Support Group providing an opportunity to learn about the charity’s work in the community.
All ticket proceeds will be donated to Reading’s Refugee Support Group.

Reading Symphony Orchestra returns for its ever-popular Children's Concert, this year featuring The Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saëns. Let us show you how the different instruments of the orchestra can sound just like animals from around the world! There'll also be the chance for little ones to see some of the instruments up close after the concert.
