Commonwealth War Grave

Driver Joseph Thomas Wilding (Service Number: 1025527) , who served in the Royal Horse Artillery, is buried in a Commonwealth War Grave in the churchyard. 
Joseph Wilding served his country in the First World War. He died on 6th March 1921 in the Royal Herbert Hospital, Woolwich. He was 28 years old.

Although his is a war grave, Driver Wilding does not have a white Portland headstone. His grave is marked with a cross shaped stone. It is situated behind the church, north of the east end of the church.

The congregation on Remembrance Sunday gather by his grave and place crosses of remembrance.
