Our Mission
What are we about then in St Austell Parish? Well we are simply a bunch of diverse people who are seeking to help one another follow Jesus and show others how to do the same. Our mission is to Love God in worshiping him and praising Him for who he is and for how he loves us. One of the ways we do that is in trying to do the things that please him. We also try to Love one another.
We are not all the same and this can be hard work! We believe though that just as Jesus loves us he also calls us to “bear with each other” forgiving others as he forgave us and helping us all to be His disciples. We also seek to Love the World, – that is love everyone around us with the same degree of compassion that Jesus had. That means real love for all whether or not they share our beliefs. Of course it does mean that we will try hard to help people understand what it means to be a disciple of Jesus and start to follow him as well, but just as Jesus showed God’s love to the world so we are committed to doing the same.
