No services are currently being held at Treneglos church. Repairs to the building have had to be put on hold for lack of funds to complete work on the nave roof, and the building is presently closed to the public for safety concerns.
A viable role for the building to play in the community has still to be found, without which it is unlikely that funds will be forthcoming. The PCC of the parish of Jacobstow with Warbstow and Treneglos has therefore asked the diocese to explore closure.
A recent public meeting has raised the possibility of an effort being made to keep the church open.
THIS SUNDAY (7th September) there will be a Joint Benefice service at the Boscastle Village Hall at 10.30am, followed by a (bring your own) picnic.
