We are sorry to say that the church building is closed until further notice to comply with the current lockdown. However, the church body is finding new ways to be "church" at a time of social distancing and isolation. We are recording videos so that you can watch, listen and praise at home. There are links from the CSK home page csk/org/ukand from YouTube: search "CSK High Wycombe"We are also running a "help our neighbours" service. We can shop for you, collect medecines, pray with you over the phone, or be a listening ear when it all gets overwhelming. To contact this service email office@csk.org.uk or ring 01494459070 and speak to the answerphone. The phone and email are checked regularly at least every 2 hours. Leave us your name and your phone number, the kind of help you need, and we will get back to you. Many of our smaller groups - home groups, prayer groups, Church in the Pub, etc. - are running over WhatsApp, Zoom, and similar resources. To find a group, contact as above, and ask for Allison to contact you about small groups.
Dear friends,It is with a sense of sadness and hope that I share the news that the Archbishops of York and Canterbury have asked all churches to suspend their public worship services. My sadness lies in the loss of our fellowship and shared worship, but my hope lies in something far deeper and stronger. In the persecuted church of countries like China, the underground church has flourished without large gatherings, and we now can follow that call to live out our faith not just for an hour and a half on a Sunday, but every day in our homes and networks of families and friends. We will share more about opportunities to join together in worship using the Internet and resources on paper in the next couple of days, but in the meantime please keep seeking God in all your moments. We, as a church, remain constant in prayer for those affected by the outbreak, those who are working to deal with it, and those who are left anxious and worried by the uncertainty of the situation. Our pastoral support team will also continue to serve the people of the church and community whatever happens, following all sensible precautions, so if you need help or support, please contact us.May the Lord bless you and keep you,May the Lord make his face shine upon youAnd be gracious unto youAnd give you peace.Yours in ChristRevd Chris Owen
