About Us

All Saints is a typical Norfolk Wool church. It is a beautiful Perpendicular style building, is grade 1 listed and is constantly in need of maintenance and repair. There is a bell tower with a peal of six bells refurbished in 2000. The churchyard is closed for burials except for interment of cremated remains. It stands on a hill at the end of the village overlooking the Wensum Valley. Gonville and Caius Collage, Cambridge are patrons of the Church.

At one end of the villege is Robertson Barracks the home of the Light Dragoons at present with some 500 personnel and families. The regiment is presently looked after by a Church of England Padre and there are good relations between the Barracks and the Church.

The ancestors of Abraham Lincoln lived in the village and were associated with the church giving a bible to the congregation.
