We were unable to provide opening hours. Please contact the Church for more information
St. Remigius Church is always open during daylight hours for visitors and for those looking for peace and quiet for prayer. A guide book is available. Refreshments are available after morning services and we cater for a wide variety of churchmanship.
There is a thriving robed choir, which sings on most Sundays and at weddings and funerals etc.
On the first Sunday of the month we have Sunday Praise, a less formal service with a mix of modern and traditional worship songs accompanied by a small band of musicians. We make use of a projector to display words and pictures on a drop-down screen.
On third Sundays there is a service of Morning Prayer in the church, with hymns, psalm and anthem sung by the choir. At the same time, in the Church Hall, we have Sunday Celebration. This is followed by Sunday Celebration which is worship in a freer "café style", containing a mixture of the best of traditional and modern hymns and songs. Coffee and biscuits are provided at the start. Drama, group work and Bible study are features of this service. All words are displayed on a screen and music is provided by a small group of musicians. The service takes place in the Church.
Holy Communion is celebrated every Sunday at 8.00 am or 10.30 am (see the calendar for details).
