Christmas Tree Festival at St. Mary’s Church, Martham – 13th–16th December

Step into the festive season at St. Mary’s Church, Martham, where from Saturday 13th to Tuesday 16th December the church will be transformed into a sparkling grove of Christmas trees, each one lovingly decorated by local people and organisations. It’s the perfect place to soak up the sights, sounds and scents of Christmas, with plenty of opportunities to enjoy music, storytelling, worship and seasonal treats.

The festival begins on Saturday 13th December from 12 noon, when you can wander among the twinkling trees, before gathering at 4.00pm for magical Christmas storytelling. On Sunday 14th December the celebrations continue with a joyful Morning Worship at 11.00am, followed by a Carols and Christingle Service at 4.00pm - where the Mayor will also be choosing his favourite tree. Monday 15th December at 3.00pm offers a cosy after-school session of Christmas stories and Christmas biscuit decorating, perfect for children and families. On Tuesday 16th December at 6.30pm the festival closes with an uplifting evening of carol singing.

Throughout the festival, visitors can enjoy festive refreshments including warming drinks and festive treats. Whether you come for the trees, the music, the worship or simply the atmosphere, the Christmas Tree Festival promises four days of joy and wonder for the whole community.
