Act of Remembrance

Occurring
for 20 mins
Venue
St Margaret
Address
Mapledurham, RG4 7TR, United Kingdom

An occasion to remember the service and sacrifice of all those that have defended our freedoms and protected our way of life. This takes place outside at the memorial church gates, so please dress appropriately. We request that people are gathered at 10:40 to allow our service to start at 10:35 without disturbing the quiet reflective nature of the occasion, punctuated by the poignant sounds of the Last Post and Reveille. All from the parish of Mapledurham and surrounding area are welcome to attend just the Act of Remembrance or remain at the church to take part in the service of holy communion which follows.

Safeguarding

The parish of Caversham Thameside and Mapledurham is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Oxford’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services
