Church of England Diocese of Leicester Saint Mary and Saint Barnabas, Humberstone

St Mary's and St Barnabas, Humberstone

Good news everyone! We are now meeting together for worship in St Mary's Church at 11am on Sundays and 9.30am on Wednesdays.  We continue to observe social distancing, wear masks and sanitise our hands - but we are together.

We understand that not everyone will feel comfortable to come inside a building just yet so we will continue to worship in many ways including Friday Evening prayer on Zoom. If you'd like more details on how to join in then please contact us.

The parish of Humberstone: St Mary is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Leicester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.</span>

Our local Safeguarding Co-ordinator is the parish priest. If you wish to speak to the Diocesan Safeguarding Team, or to someone outside the church, their contact details are

We welcome weddings and baptisms at St Mary's. If you'd like to find out more then please leave us a message on this page and we will respond as soon as possible.
