St Mary's and St Barnabas, Humberstone
St Mary's is now open for limited public worship on Sundays at 11am. It's lovely to worship together in person albeit within the COVID restrictions. This means we have to wear face masks, register as we enter and keep socially distanced. If you decide to join us then we recommend you wrap up in your warmest clothes as the doors have to be kept open so it gets a bit chilly. The services only last about 30 minutes - so plenty of time to worship God together before freezing!
Even though not all of us can gather on Sundays we are still a worshipping community and continue to worship in many ways including on line and on Zoom. If you'd like more details on how to join in then please contact our Parish Administrator on [email protected]
The parish of Humberstone: St Mary is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Leicester’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
Our local Safeguarding Co-ordinator is the parish priest. If you wish to speak to the Diocesan Safeguarding Team, or to someone outside the church, their contact details are https://www.leicester.anglican.org/about/safeguarding/
We welcome weddings and baptisms at St Mary's. If you'd like to find out more then please email our Parish Administrator on [email protected] and she will respond on either a Monday or Thursday.
