Church of England Diocese of Chichester St. Botolph, Heene

About Us

St. Botolph's is a friendly, traditional Church of England church. The main entrances are on Lansdowne Road, Worthing, but there is also a rear entrance on Manor Road, which is used for many events.

Our part-time Priest-in-Charge, Rev. Peter Kane, works Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

There is a weekly Parish Eucharist (Sung) at 10am each Sunday, a said Service of Holy Communion on Wednesdays at 12.30pm (this is a shorter service, in the more intimate setting of our beautiful Lady Chapel), a prayer meeting in the Lady Chapel each Friday at 10.15am, as well as regular opportunities to study the Bible together. In addition, there is a Coffee Morning every Friday, 10.30am-12noon, offering a selection of delicious cakes and savouries at bargain prices. A warm welcome awaits you at all our services and events.

We love to see younger visitors to the church and there is a well-equipped children's corner at the back of the church.

The church has a strong musical tradition, including a fine RSCM-affiliated choir which leads the music at services on a Sunday morning and on major holy days and festivals. We are also blessed to be one of few churches locally with a tower of eight bells, and our small - but skilful and enthusiastic - bellringing team ring for about half an hour before each Eucharist, as well as on special occasions. For further details of choir or bellringers please see our website.

The church and church rooms are used for a wide range of events during the week and full details can be found on the website.
