A new curate for St. Faith’s is announced!

It was announced in church this morning that Ordinand Eleanor Morrison has been offered a title post to serve her curacy at St. Faith’s Church Gaywood LEP and Eleanor has accepted.

She will continue to serve with the ‘Saints Group’ of churches in Wisbech and Walsoken which comprises St Peter and St Paul, St Augustine’s and All Saints, Walsoken until her ordination, planned for Petertide 2026, after which she will be taking up her role as Assistant Curate at St. Faith’s.

Eleanor says: “I am delighted to be joining St. Faith’s as Assistant Curate at in 2026. Serving the LEP for my curacy is particularly special to me as I was involved with the Methodist Church throughout my youth, being baptised at Watton Methodist Church aged ten.

I grew up in Norfolk, and after leaving to study and work I made my way back here via Southampton and London with some world travel in between. My professional background is in communications and marketing which led me to become a coach and mentor. I sensed a call to ministry working for a church mission project at a secondary school in Wisbech, where I spent six years supporting teenagers and staff.

I live in Terrington St. Clement with my husband Craig and children Daniel (20), Hannah (18), William (10) and Samuel (8). In my free time I go for a run or visit our beautiful coast.”

Please hold Eleanor and her family in your prayers as she prepares for ordination, and for St. Faith’s as we prepare to receive her into our church family.
