About Us

St. Mark's Church is in the heart of Mansfield in the East Midlands.

We are a Church of England Church in the Affirming Catholic tradition. Our worship shapes our daily journey of faith, together and apart, as we tell our own stories and listen for the stories of God at work and play.

Our Victorian church, consecrated in 1897, was designed by Temple Moore, and is a Grade II* listed building, . Music forms an integral part of our Anglican Catholic worship and our choir is of a high standard.

Sunday Eucharist is the focal point of our worship; our younger members, Young Lions (aged 8 - 18) and Lion Cubs (toddlers - 8) meet in Henley Community Hall for teaching and re-join the congregation for communion. On the last Sunday of the month, our young people play a more prominent part in our Parish Eucharist.

Youth organizations, such as Boys Brigade and Guides, are linked to the St Mark's Church.
