Farnham: St Oswald
A very warm welcome to St Oswald's Church, Farnham.
For more than 900 years, St Oswald's has stood at the heart of our village as a place of worship, prayer and community. Whether you are joining us for a service, visiting to explore our beautiful historic church, marking a special occasion, or simply looking for a peaceful place to sit and reflect, you are always warmly welcome.
St Oswald's is a Grade I listed church with a rich history dating back to the 12th century. Over the centuries it has grown and changed, and today combines its Norman origins with later medieval additions and a Victorian restoration by the renowned architect Sir George Gilbert Scott. Inside you will find a church that is both beautiful and peaceful, offering a quiet sanctuary away from the busyness of everyday life.
As part of the Lower Ure Churches Benefice, we are committed to sharing God's love through worship, friendship and service. We are a welcoming congregation where everyone is valued, whether you are a lifelong churchgoer, exploring faith for the first time, or simply curious to know more.
We hold regular services throughout the month and would be delighted to welcome you. The church is also open for visitors and private prayer whenever possible, and we encourage you to spend a little time enjoying the beauty, history and tranquillity of this special place.

Scotton: St Thomas
Welcome to St Thomas' Church, Scotton.
We are a small rural parish church, built during the Victorian era and consecrated in May 1889 as a chapel of ease for the parish of Farnham. The church was licensed for marriages in 1922.
Our simple yet beautiful interior features examples of the craftsmanship of Robert Thompson of Kilburn, together with an impressive east window by Anne Sutherland. Behind the west wall is our peaceful Garden of Rest, offering a quiet place for reflection and remembrance.
St Thomas' is a friendly and welcoming church for people of all ages. We enjoy a close relationship with Scotton Methodist Church and seek to serve our local community together.
We currently hold two services each month:
Second Sunday – Family Village Service at 9.30amFourth Sunday – Holy Communion at 9.30am
Messy Church takes place in Scotton Village Hall on the fourth Sunday of each month, from 10.30am to 12 noon, following the Holy Communion service. Everyone is warmly welcome.
The church is open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, from approximately 9.00am until dusk (around 4.00pm in winter and 6.00pm in summer). If you would like to visit at another time, private openings can be arranged through one of the Churchwardens.

Staveley: All Saints
The Parish Church of All Saints Staveley is situated in an elevated position at the Western end of the Village. There has been a Church on this site since the 14th century, the foundation stone for the current building, the third to be built on the site, was laid on 18th April 1851. The Church was built in the English style at a cost of £1,650.19.4d with a chancel, nave and western tower with a clock and three bells. The Church has a number of attractive stained glass windows the most striking being the three panel window in the East wall behind the Altar. This window was designed and made by the celebrated Belgian designer J.B. Capronnier.
Original seating 200 the Church capacity is now 120 to meet current fire and safety regulations and is an attractive setting for weddings, christenings, funerals and other celebrations.
The Church is open for visitors between 10am and 5pm each day please have a look round and sign our visitor book. Everyone is welcome to join us for our Services.
