Grewelthorpe: St James

We are continuing to expand the range of services in our churches, although we are still holding some online services as well.

Wearing a mask in church is not now compulsory, but we would suggest bringing one out of consideration for other people. It can feel a bit unfriendly, but God is still close to us as we worship.

We continue to distribute orders of service by email or on paper to those who wish to join in worship in those ways. Please contact Ian Kitchen for more information. We also have a weekly Bible Study on Zoom.

The parish of Grewelthorpe: St James is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Leeds’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
