St Thomas the Apostle in Killinghall is a growing and very friendly and welcoming community of Christians. We would be delighted if you would like to join us for worship. Our services are held at 9.30am on Sundays and there is usually a craft activity for children. The first Sunday of the month is a special informal Church4All service providing an opportunity to chat and mingle as well as sing praise to God and discuss the reading from the bible and pray together. All ages are welcomed and we use recorded music and cultivate a relaxed atmosphere.
On 2nd and 3rd Sundays we celebrate Common Worship Holy Communion with hymns. 4th and 5th Sundays are benefice Sundays and we meet at 10am (10.30am from 7th May onwards) as a group of churches in one of the buildings to celebrate Holy Communion. Please check notice boards, magazines or web site to locate the benefice service.
The parish of Hampsthwaite & Killinghall is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Leeds’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
