Our Annual Christmas Carol service on Sunday 14 December at 4pm led by the Revd Rolf Mason, accompanied by the Two Rivers Concert Band from Ilkley, under the baton of Gregory Moor.

This is a service of about 1 hour featuring some favourite carols, traditional nativity readings, prayers and a talk proclaiming the Good News of the birth of God!

After the service everyone is invited to stay behind for refreshments, including mince pies and mulled wine.

A perfect way to begin the end of Advent as we turn to the joyful celebration of Christmas.

Our annual family and child friendly gathering around the Christmas Tree on Christmas Eve. A short magical candlelight service designed to perfectly help families slip into Christmas.

Before the noise, joy, food and frolics - we encourage you to take 40 minutes from your Christmas Eve to come to church - hear the story once again how God started his rescue mission in a manger.

This service will be by candlelight, feature some favourite Christmas Carols, prayers and readings. It is also short - about 40-45 minutes - perfect for little ones!

What better way to welcome the Christmas Feast than a traditional Christmas Eve midnight communion service.

With full liturgical robing, candlelight, singing unaccompanied, and with ancient readings to stir the imagination, we will share bread and wine on this holy night. The Revd Rolf Mason will preach on the importance of Christmas.

The service starts at 11.00pm aiming to conclude shortly after midnight concluding with the carol that declares, "Yea Lord we greet thee, born this happy morning!"

We usually have about 20 people join us in the setting of St Philip's - and you would be welcome to join us!

Why don't you come along to church on CHRISTMAS DAY?

It makes such a difference to the food, present-giving, and time with family, when you pause to remember the roots of the Christmas celebration.
But it also aids those, who for various reasons, find Christmas hard: health problems, loneliness, isolation, estrangement from family and friends, or who aren't able to celebrate as they might choose.

Come to church and hear the good news of Jesus - who was a baby for all people - the rich and poor, the happy and sad, the blessed and cursed!

We gather on Christmas Morning to joyfully celebrate the birth of Jesus. We will sing traditional (and a few less traditional but equally joyful) Christmas Carols accompanied by our excellent worship band. We will worship together - all ages. We will share bread and wine together.
