About Us

Cornwell Community Church is part of the Anglican Parish of Tilehurst St.Catherine and Calcot St.Birinus.

Cornwell Community Church meets every week in the Cornwell Centre in Home Croft off Clements Mead.  Refreshments are available from 10.30am when we set up and have coffee and cake. The service starts around 11am and lasts for about an hour.  Our All Age Service  is informal and family friendly, with special activities for children (Sunday School).

The Church is run by an elected Leadership and worship is led by congregation members, a Licensed Lay Minister or our Vicar.

Our aims:

To build, maintain and grow a church that is a worshiping caring community based on a common love of Jesus Christ and a desire to do his will.

To reach out with love and friendship to people of all ages in the local community; meeting their spiritual and practical needs, showing the relevance of Christianity to their lives and by our example and teaching draw them into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.

Many activities we do together with St.Catherine's, there are groups for children of all ages every week, each month there is Messy Church on the 1st Saturday of the month and when there are  5 Sundays  in the month we have a United Service together. Every Summer we hold an exciting holiday club week.

Together we embrace the Parish Purpose:

To Worship God and show Jesus' love makes a difference in reaching, serving and caring.
