UPDATE February 2024: A gun and a large knife were extracted on Wednesday 7th February from one of our two weapons disposal bins. The gun was a BB gun - a high powered air pistol that is illegal to own. The Police sergeant in attendance had to call in another car to take it away. The BBC was there to film and interview representatives of Churches Together in Chapeltown and Harehills.

Previous content included a knife and a screwdriver with its tip sharpened so as to become an offensive instrument. We are discussing arrangements for the acquisition of one or more new bins large enough to accommodate machetes, which apparently are becoming more common on our streets.
