Every First, Third Sunday at 9:30 a.m. for 1h

Christ Church, Darley
United Kingdom

Add to my calendar

Though we have resumed our 'normal' pre-pandemic pattern of services, we will continue live streaming our 9:30am services - every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month.
You will need to be on Facebook, and ask to join the Group ‘Christ Church, Darley’ - see the link on this page. Go to the page at 9:30am and watch live, or watch later at your leisure. Services will be uploaded to YouTube soon after so folk not of Facebook can join in. See:
The first Sunday of the month will usually be communion, while the 3rd Sundays of the month there will usually be a Family Service. For communion you are invited to prepare your own bread & wine at home to receive physically as well as ‘spiritually’ if you like.
If you would like sermons, thoughts, resources for praying at home or streamed services e-mailed contact Alastair on [email protected]

Though legal restrictions have been relaxed we will still endeavour to
- keep 2 metres from others not of our household or ‘social bubble’ – esp. when arriving and leaving
- use the hand gel provided (or your own) on entering and leaving
- be aware, in the short term, we will still keep a register of attenders for ‘track & trace’ purposes. You may be asked for contact details
- face-coverings are no longer mandatory by law, but, as in shops and other public buildings, folk are encouraged to wear them. People can still attend without a face-covering, but please be respectful of people's differing comfort with this situation.
- Do not attend if you have Covid 19 like symptoms, or if you develop these within 7 days please let us know as soon as possible.
- The service will still be shorter than it was pre-pandemic. Congregational singing is now permitted, but we will stick to two hymns for the time being, and vocal responses will be reduced to a very few.
- When receiving communion or a blessing, queue, keeping 2m distance, and receive standing, one at a time, then make your way back to your seat, keeping 2m distance from others as much as possible.
- Refreshments and socializing after the service are encouraged to take place outside.
- We won’t pass a plate but there will be a ‘retiring collection’ i.e. the plate will be left at the back to place your collection on when you enter or leave.
