Church of England Diocese of St.Albans

Oak Church Stevenage

We are a youth focused church in central Stevenage for Stevenage and the surrounding villages. Being youth focused means we have a particular heart for seeing Jesus meet with and inspire young people, but we are welcome to all and have a multi-generational community. Oak Church is a part of the Church of England and we began as a church plant from Soul Survivor Watford in 2015. Oak Church Stevenage is part of the Stevenage Pioneer Youth Trust.

At this time, we are unable to gather in person for our services, however we will be going live on Instagram at 5:30pm every Sunday. As we are a youth focused community, the majority of our community is on Instagram. However, if you are not, we would still love for you to join us. Please see our website on ‘How to sign up to Instagram’ and ‘How to join Oak’s Instagram Live’ if you don’t know how to. We are still working some of this out, but our live stream each Sunday will have space for worship, a short talk, prayer and a chance to hear from different people in our community. This will run for max 1 hour. We hope that you can join us!

At our services we start with a cafe, giving us the chance to relax after whatever kind of week we've had. Then we come together to praise God in our worship and look at what following Jesus looks like through a short talk. We also really value making room for the Holy Spirit to lead us and for us to encounter him in prayer. The 5:30pm service is welcome to all with a particular focus on young people and young adults.
