World Poetry Slam Champion Harry Baker (pictured) is a poet and a maths graduate. He writes about important stuff like hope, dinosaurs, and German falafel-spoons. His work has been shared on TED.com and viewed millions of times worldwide, as well as being translated into over 20 different languages. When there’s not a global pandemic on, he performs all over the country and has really, really missed live gigs. His latest collection ‘Unashamed’ was published with Burning Eye in 2022 and he has been sharing poems from it at every available opportunity ever since.

On Friday 03 November @ 3pm, St James’ Presents a Movie Matinee

St James is delighted to present an afternoon screening of The Prince of Egypt.  Tickets for this event are now FREE OF CHARGE.

In this academy award winning animated retelling of the Book of Exodus, Egyptian Prince Moses (Val Kilmer), upon discovering his roots as a Jewish slave, embarks on a quest to free his people from bondage. When his plea is denied by his brother Rameses (Ralph Fiennes), the new pharaoh, a series of horrific plagues strike Egypt. Moses finally leads the Israelites to freedom by parting the Red Sea.

There will be an opportunity to purchase movie snacks from our tuck shop.

St James is delighted to present an evening screening of The Way.

An American father travels to France to retrieve the body of his estranged son, who died while attempting the pilgrimage to Spain's Santiago de Compostela. He resolves to take the journey himself, in an effort to understand both himself and his son.
