Harvest 2021 at St James’:

Here’s what’s happening for harvest time at St James’ this year.

A Service of Gratitude. The theme of our harvest service at 11.00 on 03 October will be gratitude. During the service there will be an opportunity to hear about and give to our harvest appeals.

“Give a Tin Food Hug”. Caring for Life relies on supporter and church donations to help them give food parcels and prepare meals for their beneficiaries throughout the year. This year we will collect donations of non-perishable food at our service on 03 October and deliver them to Caring for Life.

Harvest Appeal. This year we will be dividing our harvest cash collection between two charities that are close to our hearts at St James’. The Lighthouse, based at St George’s in Leeds, is a church that provides haven for those battered by the storms of life. The Mugumu Safe House, in the Mara region of NW Tanzania, provides refuge, education and training for girls and young women fleeing domestic violence and the horrors of FGM. You can give in church on 03 October, or via bank transfer (CAF Bank Account no 00022695, Sort code 40-52-40, account name St James Woodside PCC). For online donations, please use the reference ‘Harvest Appeal’. Thank you.
