St Catherine's Church, Towersey

We are a friendly and welcoming community meeting at St Catherine's Church, which is situated at the heart of the quiet, picturesque village of Towersey - just a mile from the market town of Thame. We meet monthly throughout the year, joining with the congregation at St Mary's in Thame on intervening Sundays.  We hold additional services throughout the year for special events, including Christmas and Easter.

Our common vision, as part of the Oxford Diocese, is for a more Christ-like Church: contemplative, compassionate and courageous for the sake of God’s world: A church more like Jesus and the Lord we serve. Our mission is to witness to the love of God and the hope that comes through faith in Jesus Christ.

The parish of Towersey is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advises our PSO. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
