In response to the fast changing situation in Buckinghamshire and on the advice of the Church of England centrally we have decided that we should cease ‘in person’ services with immediate effect. We have not taken this decision lightly, hence the last minute nature of this message. The new strain of the virus appears to be significantly more infectious than before and it is right that we should play our part in doing all we can to stop any possibility of cross infection through our Sunday services. It is with a heavy heart and having consulted with Church Wardens and the ministry team that I have taken this decision. I do not know when it will be reversed. Vaccines are on the way and it does appear that they will be effective in dealing with the threat. Our ‘on line’ services will continue (see Web site) and our churches will be open for individual prayer seven days a week 9am to 2pm.I was reminded the other day that this time last year we had no idea what was about to be unleashed upon the world. But God did. None of this is a surprise to him. He suffers with the world and his death on the Cross to redeem mankind, and his call to follow, stand unchanging through history. He is faithful and He is good. Blessings,Revd Mike
