St Mary's is the parish church for Wath, Melmerby and Middleton Quernhow. The church is open every day and you are welcome to visit it at any time. We would love to see you at any of our services if you are able to join us. These are generally an 11.00 Morning Praise service on the first Sunday of the month and a 9.30 Holy Communion on the third Sunday. St Mary's is part of the Hallikeld benefice (group of churches) and services are also held at Kirklington, Burneston and Pickhill.
Our parish of Wath is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). Our Diocese of Leeds’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the PSO or the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor Carla Darbyshire. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.
