Church of England Diocese of Southwell & Nottingham Edwalton

Edwalton: Holy Rood

5th September 2021

A new worship for Edwalton.

Our new Curate Revd Ade Perham is now in place to lead our services. We also welcome Adrian Kemp as our new Family and Children Pioneer to work with Ade we all look forward to working and supporting Ade and Adrian in the Lord's work.

The Church of England writes (1/9/21) that Churches need to move forward without legal restrictions and each Church shall decide how to best manage the risk to members and others. Our own decision making process is that, for the time being.

1. Wearing of face coverings are recommended.

2. Hand sanitiser gel and track and trace forms continue to be available.

3. Social distancing is available for those who would prefer this option.

4. Congregational hymn signing will take place sometimes with an organist.

5. Refreshments will be served after the service.

Please join us if you are able.

We are adopting the words of Apostle Paul in writing his letter to Galatians, in Chap 5 v13, Life by the Spirit.  'You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge yourselves; rather, serve one another humbly in love.'  We will continue to strike a balance that enables us to do the same and have a particular care for those who feel especially anxious and vulnerable.

Please contact us by email or telephone if you feel that we may be able to offer you help. All calls and emails are treated as confidential.

SAFEGUARDINGThe parish of Edwalton is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults.  We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO). The Diocese of Southwell & Nottingham’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSO. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
