About Us

During the Autumn months the Church is open daily for private prayer from 9.00am to 5.00pm (weather permitting)

We welcome back Revd David Cowie from his recent Sabbatical, so church services return to their usual times as do ZOOM and Night Prayer services.

Sunday 14th September at 9.00am - Holy Communion (followed by refreshments).

Sunday 12th October at 9.00am - Holy Communion (followed by refreshments).

Sunday 9th November at 3.00pm - Act of Remembrance .

Everyone is very welcome to all or any event. Please check latest the Parish Bulletin for the most up to date information on services as changes do sometimes occur.

Normal 'wear and tear' means we have had to stop the church clock - but the good news is that a legacy will allow full restoration including the clock face and the chime. Our faculty has been approved by the Diocese and we eagerly await the finished work in a few months time.

The village school had their end of year "Leaver's" service in church on Monday 12th July. We wish all well in their next school.

The dry Summer has led to some ground nesting bees establishing a "home" in the churchyard towards the field play area; so please take care if walking in that area - you will notice the grass is not being cut while the bees remain active.

G O O D     N E W S    &  Upcoming Events

The community coffee mornings - on the last Thursday in the month - continue to be well supported. We look forward to welcoming visitors old and new  anytime between 10 am and 12 noon.

PLEASE NOTE - the September coffee morning is being pushed back ONE week to Thursday 2nd OCTOBER. We apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

Don't forget to stay up to date with events via our Facebook page...and keep a lookout for details of our next churchyard clean later in the year.

We have a selection of religious books in our lending library in the Lady Chapel. Please feel free to browse or borrow a book or two. Also in the Lady Chapel is a collection  of relics and artefacts found around the village and from the Manor House dig. Do take a look, and for younger visitors, why not try out the Children's Church Trail at the same time to learn more about our beautiful church. At the back of the church there is also a good selection of books and jigsaws for you to borrow, or buy for a small donation.

We are also most grateful to everyone on the cleaning and flower rotas - the church looks and smells beautiful.

The Community Coffee Mornings are held on the last Thursday in the month (10.00am to midday). All are welcome including pre-school children, visiting friends and well behaved four legged friends. The mornings are great for just a natter and to meet up with both new and familiar faces. Please feel free to make use of the organ or piano during the morning, both of which would benefit from a work out.

Weekly Parish Bulletin: This gives details of services and other events for the coming week. If you would like to receive a copy via email, please provide your details to the Secretary.
