About Us

During the Summer months the Church is open daily for private prayer from 9.00am to 5.00pm (weather permitting)

Our next services are shown below.

Revd David Cowie is currently on a six month Sabbatical, so ZOOM and Night Prayer services are paused until the Autumn.

Sunday 8th June at 9.00am - PENTECOST - Holy Communion with Crystal McAllister (followed by refreshments).

Sunday 29th June at 9.00am  - Morning Prayer with Barbara Guntrip

Sunday 10th August at 10.00am  - Morning Prayer with Barbara Guntrip

Everyone is very welcome to all or any event. Please check latest the Parish Bulletin for the most up to date information on services as changes do sometimes occur. Also note that Services over the Summer are at the new time of 10.00am

You may have noticed that the  wooden screening over some of the church windows have now been removed as repairs have been completed.  Also normal 'wear and tear' means we have had to stop the church clock - but the good news is that a legacy will allow full restoration including the clock face and the chime. We eagerly await the finished work in a few months time.

The village school had their end of term "Easter Celebration" in church on Wednesday 9th April., with presentations from all class groups. A lovely time was had by all.

The Church is also hugely appreciative of the great turn out and exceptional work carried out by villagers and friends in the churchyard on Saturday 26th April. It is lovely to 'recover' the four above ground tombs at the eastern end of the church. We look forward to a second event later on in the year.

G O O D     N E W S    &  Upcoming Events

The community coffee mornings - on the last Thursday in the month - continue to be well supported. We look forward to welcoming visitors old and new on Thursday 26th June 2025 anytime between 10 am and 12 noon.

The village school is holding its annual 'Leaver's' service on Monday 12th July.

Don't forget to stay up to date with events via our Facebook page...and keep a lookout for details of our next churchyard clean later in the year.

We have a selection of religious books in our lending library in the Lady Chapel. Please feel free to browse or borrow a book or two. Also in the Lady Chapel is a collection  of relics and artefacts found around the village and from the Manor House dig. Do take a look, and for younger visitors, why not try out the Children's Church Trail at the same time to learn more about our beautiful church. At the back of the church there is also a good selection of books and jigsaws for you to borrow, or buy for a small donation.

We are also most grateful to everyone on the cleaning and flower rotas - the church looks and smells beautiful.

The Community Coffee Mornings are held on the last Thursday in the month (10.00am to midday). All are welcome including pre-school children, visiting friends and well behaved four legged friends. The mornings are great for just a natter and to meet up with both new and familiar faces. Please feel free to make use of the organ or piano during the morning, both of which would benefit from a work out.
