G O O D     N E W S    & Upcoming Events

We are moving quickly into winter and Advent  after the long and warm summer months. Although the children are  at school you may like to visit our Church Trail to learn more about our lovely and peaceful church or browse the collection of books and jigsaws we have available to borrow.  We are also creating  a separate lending area for religious books  so look out for that as well.

And why not take the opportunity to view the remains of the Medieval Manor House just to the south of the church before it is fully covered over for the winter.

The Community Coffee Mornings continue on the last Thursday in the month (10.00am to midday); the next one being Thursday 24th November. All are welcome especially  pre-school children; visiting friends and any of your four legged friends. The mornings are great for just a natter and to meet up with both new and familiar faces. Please feel free to make use of the organ or piano during the morning which would benefit from a work out.

Queen's Platinum Jubilee. ...it may seem a little strange to be highlighting this now but there will be a tree planting ceremony in the churchyard on Sunday 4th December at 2.30pm. The Parish Council is funding a cherry tree and Jubilee plaque and the church PCC will be completing the memorial with an 'upcycled' bench commemorating the life of HM Elizabeth II. This will be immediately followed by the unveiling of the Jubilee 'Tile Wall' in the Village Hall and light refreshments. Everyone is invited to join both events.

Parish newsletter: Copies are available on line and on the  'Welcome' table at the back of the Church. If you would like to receive a copy through your letter box  or a digital copy please provide your details to the secretary.

Please contact the secretary if you would like to know more about our Church or if you are able to give occasional help with cleaning and general house-keeping of the Church.
