Wendover St Mary

A busy and thriving church in the beautiful village of Wendover. We have two main services on a Sunday morning, a traditional communion service at 9am and a more contemporary family service (either communion or all-age) at 10.45am. See our website for more details. What ever your age, you will receive a warm welcome!

We are an inclusive Church. Our aim is to be a community of faith that follows the example of Jesus in showing acceptance and value of all.

We seek to serve and welcome all who come to share this journey of finding the love and grace of God. This means we foster an environment which does not discriminate on grounds of age, economic power, gender identity, mental health, physical ability, race, faith or sexuality. Absolutely everyone is welcome.

At St Mary's we hold to the core belief that each one of us is made and loved by God. By the grace of God and through the death and resurrection of Jesus, we are all invited to build a relationship with Him. The Holy Spirit is God's life in us, enabling us to show God's love to the world.

The parish of Wendover is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer(s), PSOs. The Diocese of Oxford’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSOs. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services.
