Church of England Diocese of Norwich North Walsham

North Walsham: St Nicholas

St Nicholas' Church, Norfolks' Largest Wool Church.

Seeking to weave faith, hope and love throughout our community.

Welcome to St Nicholas’ Church in the heart of North Walsham. For centuries people have worshipped on this site. They have come for joyful and sad times, for baptisms (christenings), weddings and funerals. They have come for the major festivals of the church at Easter and Christmas. They have silently slipped in and prayed silently and slipped out again during the course of a day. They have gathered Sunday by Sunday to celebrate the resurrection and the good news of Jesus Christ. And we continue to do so today.

DUE TO CORONAVIRUS ALL PUBLIC ACTS OF WORSHIP HAVE BEEN SUSPENDED. THE CHURCH IS NOW LOCKED THROUGHOUT THE DAY. FUNERALS CAN STILL CONTINUE. We are updating our website on a daily basis with on going news and ways to keep in touch.  Please be assured of our prayers.

Sunday Worship 8.00 am: live streamed

Every Sunday at 8 a.m. for 20m

To be live streamed and joined in at home

Our 8.00 am service is Morning Prayer (shortened) from the Book of Common Prayer. Under normal circumstances this would be a service of Holy Communion but as it is just the Vicar present it is not appropriate. This is not a public act of worship in the church.
