About Us

We are one of five parishes within the Dover Town Benefice, a team ministry serving the town of Dover and village of Guston.

The original pre-fab church was built in the post WW2 years to serve the new Buckland valley estate. The current church was dedicated in 1960.

The church is divided into:

(1) a purpose built nursery space which is home to the Buckland and Whitfield (Sure Start) Children's Centre providing support for families of young children; and

(2) a multi-functional worship space which is home to a weekly Messy Church community (established by Cross-Links, an ecumenical fresh expression of church situated on the estate). This also used for meetings and social activities.

There are no Sunday services (Messy Church meets on a Friday after school) but there are occasional informal services and weddings, funerals and christenings may take place by arrangement.

Our other (main parish) church is dedicated to St Andrew and is situated off the Buckland Bridge on London Road, accessed along a narrow road leading to a cul-de-sac. It is practically invisible until you come across it! It is adjacent to the Buckland Paper Mill development. For more information about St Andrew's follow this link https://www.achurchnearyou.com/church/3530/
