The pew sheet including the readings and notices of upcoming services and events is available on the right. Gifts suitable for donation to the Abingdon Food Bank will be gratefully received in the bag in the church porch.Following the relaxation of the Covid restrictions, the PCC have agreed that we will revert to sharing the peace by shaking hands for those that feel comfortable to. We will also be offering both the bread and the wine at Communion and we ask that people come to the altar rail and kneel for Communion as we used to do before Covid. For those that still feel uncomfortable about taking the wine, the option to just take the bread is also available. We look forward to seeing you.
Loving God,we pray for all those who are suffering because of the coronavirus, may they know your healing power. When we are afraid for ourselves and our loved ones, give us your strength and courage. When we feel alone and isolated, reassure us with a sense of your presence.Give wisdom to those in authority and may our community work together for the good of all.We give thanks for those who care for others and ask you to bless them in all they do.We ask this in the name of Jesus, healer and physician.Amen.
Arrangements inside church are still a bit different from normal, e.g. using only alternate pews and, sadly, at the moment we're still not allowed to sing together, but we're taking the opportunity to make more of saying Psalms together. Members of the choir are allowed to sing the hymns (socially distanced) while the rest of us hum the tune. Please do come and join us. We look forward to seeing you! Please wear a face covering if you have one, maintain physical distancing and use the hand sanitiser provided on entering and leaving church.
