About Us
16th March 2023
Ecumenical services at 9.30am every Sunday.
A fine Grade-1 listed classical church built 1680 by Robert Hooke for Dr Richard Busby. Visible across Willen Lake with distintive copper roof and square tower. Box pews, barrel plaster ceiling and apse added in Victorian era.
An active venue for wedding, baptism and funeral services.
Thanks to a very kind donation by John Figg, in memory of his beloved wife Roma, our bells will be ringing again after Easter.
Our volunteer gardening group are continuing their wonders and are looking to establish a fully green status in terms of using only bio-degradables. In keeping with this, the plastic and electronics in the LED solar lights will be environmentally recycled at the end of their service life.
We have just gained preliminary funding for a viability study for establishing a Robert Hooke Heritage Centre within the church grounds, which are bordered by our Grade-2 listed red-brick wall.
