About Us
St James is one of three churches in Bushbury Parish, Wolverhampton. It sits in a cluster of churches known as 'Wulfrun Deanery'.
St James has been an important part of the Fordhouses Community for more than 50 years.
At November 2021 there is a vacancy for a vicar as the previous minister has retired.
We have a mix of ages and families are really welcome. There are baby changing facilities, informal childrens activities and a carpeted play area for toddlers.
Older children are encouraged to attend a small Sunday school.
Our weekly services are usually relaxed with contemporary music and an opportunity to participate in prayer and worship. Once a month a Holy Communion service is also held here.
At various points in the church year, special services are also held - for example Memorials to remember loved ones who have died, and services to celebrate Easter, Harvest, Remembrance, Advent, Christingle and Christmas.
