You are very welcome at our Advent and Christmas services and events – bring your family and friends or come along on your own. Whether it will be your first time at church or you have been before, we look forward to welcoming you!

All events Calendar Advent & Christmas

At Childs Ercall, we are blessed with a beautiful church building and churchyard. We have a Holy Communion Service on the first Sunday of the month and celebrate another communion once a month with St Peter's Stoke on Tern with whom we share good fellowship. Our Easter, Harvest and Christmas Services are well attended especially our annual Christmas crib walk through the village. Our Sunday school on the second Sunday is well attended by families from around the area and we alter the location for this regularly , meeting sometimes in church and sometimes on a farm.

Village Carol Service

All are invited to join in the celebration of Christmas songs and stories. After the service we will be serving mulled wine and mince pies. A wonderful festive chance to come together as a village and enjoy the season of joy.

A Festival of Stars - Follow the Star

Follow the stars around St Peter's church, Stoke on Tern. Our church will be adorned with decorations from all groups, businesses and churches in our benefice for a fabulously festive sight. Today will finish with our Carol service, starting at 7pm

Crib Walk from Village Hall

Starting at the Jubilee Hall, we will be re-enacting the journey of Joseph and Mary as they enter Bethlehem, a small village like ours, a long time ago.
Heavy with a long expected baby, their search for shelter, a place of warmth to have their baby.
