Good Friday Churches Together in Newport Service

Occurring
for 1 hour
Venue
Newport Baptist Church
Address
Newport Baptist Church, Water Lane Newport, TF10 7LD

Each year, Churches Together in Newport unite and join in the solemnity of Good Friday. The united service this year will be held in Newport Baptist Church at 10.30. After the service, you are invited to join in the Walk of Witness through the town, following the cross – a real witness to all who are busily shopping and going about their daily lives, that this marks a really important time in our Christian faith. We finish with a short act of Worship in the town square, handing out Hot Cross
Buns, before retiring to the Market Hall for a coffee together – come and join in with part or all !

Safeguarding

Our parish of Church Aston: St Andrew is committed to safeguarding children, young people and adults from harm. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer (PSO)*. Our Diocese of Lichfield’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor who advises our PSO*. If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (button below). If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority’s children or adult social care services.

*If you wish to raise a concern whilst we appoint a new PSO, please contact Laura Curry on 01543 756287 (Mon-Thurs) or email: [email protected].
