The children, friends and families of our local primary school, Mary Howard will celebrate Christingle. During the service, oranges decorated with candles, red ribbons and sweets or fruits, will be used to represent Jesus as the light of the world.
The orange symbolises the world, the red ribbon - the blood of Christ, the sweets/fruits - the fruits of the earth, and the lit candle represents Jesus bringing hope to people in darkness.

A family service with activities for the young and young at heart. This will include a visit from a very special guest!

Celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ at this late-night service.
If you have been baptised you are welcome to take Holy Communion; if not, you can receive a blessing from the minister, should you wish.

This is a Christian feast in remembrance of the massacre of young children in Bethlehem by King Herod the Great, in his attempt to kill the infant Jesus.
The service will be led by Rev. Dr. Robert Bates, a retired Methodist Minister.
