About Us
Saint Paul’s is the Parish Church of Coven, a village of about two and a half thousand people in south Staffordshire. It is part of the Diocese of Lichfield and under the sacramental and pastoral care of the Bishop of Oswestry. We are a welcoming, lively, faithful and committed group of people – young and old – who come together for worship on Sundays and other days during the week. We offer opportunities for prayer, worship and study in small groups. The main parish Sung Eucharist takes place at 10.00am every Sunday. A quieter said Mass is held every Wednesday at 10.30am.
St Paul’s is also committed to supporting the work of our First School – St Paul’s CE First School and there are opportunities for members of the congregation to serve as Foundation Governors and to join in school based worship. The Parish Priest is a Governor of the school and the school regularly come into church for their special services. Children, staff and parents regularly visit the church for worship throughout the year, including Harvest, Christmas and Easter.
St Paul’s has an active social life when friends from the village and further afield, come together simply to enjoy being with one another. These occasions usually involve food and wine and much laughter! Together we are active in raising funds for the on-going life of the Church in the community. We have one of the most active Mothers' Unions in the West Midlands.
We love our church. We also love to welcome visitors. Please join us for prayer and worship; we would love you to come along to one of our social events, or if you think you would like to get married or have your child baptised in our church, then please contact us through the link on this website. You will be made very welcome.
