St Mary's Church, Ellesmere

Welcome to the home page for St Mary's Church Ellesmere.

We are the Church of England parish church for Ellesmere and we welcome everyone who would like to join us for our services.   We are towards the Catholic (high church) end of the Church of England, our worship is fairly traditional in style, in a relaxed and friendly way.  We have a Sunday School at our main service at 10.15 on a Sunday morning.

Although formal Covid restrictions are at an end, our priority is to provide a safe and comfortable space for people to come to church.   Please continue to be sensitive to other people's preferences.

Our vicar, Mother Pat Hawkins, is only too pleased to hear from you if you have any queries.  If she doesn't know the answer she will know someone who does.

If you would like to find out more about the life of the Church, or to inquire about a christening or a wedding please contact our vicar, Revd Pat Hawkins on 01691 622571 or [email protected]

Our Parish Safeguarding Officer is Mr Clive Taylor 01691 623386, [email protected]

The parish of Ellesmere is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people and adults. We follow the House of Bishops guidance and policies and have our own Parish Safeguarding Officer, PSO. The Diocese of Lichfield’s safeguarding pages contain vital links and information including contacts for the Diocesan Safeguarding Advisor (DSA) who advise our PSO.  If you are concerned that a child or adult has been harmed or may be at risk of harm please contact the DSA. If you have immediate concerns about the safety of someone, please contact the police and your local authority Children or Adults Services."
