Henry said about his new role, “I’m hugely excited about the prospect of joining the community at Magdalen. The role of the Dean of Divinity is grounded firmly at the heart of the College community, and I look forward to becoming a member of the College’s diverse, vibrant family, walking alongside students, staff and academic colleagues through the joys and challenges of Oxford life: listening to stories, offering words of encouragement and hope, laughing, crying and celebrating together.

“It will also be a tremendous joy to join Magdalen’s Chapel community as it prepares to welcome its first girl choristers in September 2027 and continues the rich tradition of Spirit-filled choral worship offered in this place over the centuries.”
