Harvest Thanksgiving A joint Harvest Festival Service took place on Sunday 28th September at Acton Trussell, Bednall and Teddesley Hay Community Centre. The Village Singers joined the congregation. Tony Guest, a Cannock and District Food Bank Co-ordinator gave an update on how the food bank is developing in the area. After the service, a light lunch was served. Items of food were donated and a collection of £225 was raised towards the Food Bank.Thanks go to everyone who helped make this a happy event.
Ride & Stride for Churches 2025 is on 13th September and St James at Acton Trussell and All Saints at Bednall will be taking part. Read the flyer attached for full details of what it’s all about and how you can get involved.
A big thanks to all who attended and who helped in any way at the Messy Church Picnic on the Beach session at St James’ Church, Acton Trussell on 8th August. The sun shone and we had a happy time with our ‘beach’ themed and fishy story and activities. After the parachute games we shared a lovely picnic round the ‘campfire’ in the churchyard and those who attended left looking forward to the next Messy Church session.By the way please save the date for the Christingle at St James, Acton Trussell on 24th December at 2pm.
Our next session of Messy Church is on Friday 8th August starting at 2pm until 4pm at St James’ Church Lower Penkridge Road, Acton Trussell ST17 0RJ.We’ll be thinking about picnics on the beach- sounds good, so book your place very soon (details on the flyer). Best to wear play clothes as we hope to be outside part of the time. As usual children to be accompanied by an adult and grandparents are especially welcome as it is a working day for some.Here’s to a fun session with picnic snacks at the end- hope to see you on Friday 8th Aug.
